Noteworthy Positive Characteristics:
Peaceful
Luna is different than most Grounders. She doesn’t live by the code of “blood must have blood” but rather, “from water we are born, to water we return.” She’s a pacifist, choosing to be the leader of the Boat People, or Flokru. She has a bloody past, being a Nightblood and up for Commander. She killed her own brother in the conclave and ran away after that. She was done with fighting, even though she probably could have won. Those were her reasons for fleeing. Because she would have won, and because the Flamekeepers taught her rage was nobility-- killing her brother snapped her out of it. It made her see that violence swallows you up.
Motherly
Luna is seen more as a mother to all, than a leader. She is a rumor on land to be the savior of the ones in need. She helps people, takes in orphans from war. Luna teaches the children how to make nets to catch fish. She cultivates a very peaceful and calming place to live.
Truthful
Even thought Luna is pretty straight faced most of the time, she does not hide her feelings about certain things. She will speak up, speak out, and show her emotions. She is forced to kill brainwashed people on her oil rig. One of them is her lover, Derrick. Luna shows her grief with no shame.
Noteworthy Negative Characteristics:
Selfish
Luna, despite all her talks of peace, would rather stay on the oil rig with her people rather than take the Flame and become the next Commander. Even if it meant she could bring peace to everyone, she is selfish and wants to contain it to her people. She doesn’t budge, knowing that lives would be lost in the process towards peace. She doesn’t believe in killing at all anymore-- no cause is worth killing for. She believes the path of violence is a choice and she doesn’t choose it.
Deadly
Luna fought in the conclave as a child alongside her brother. She killed him and once she processed that crazy bullshit-- she ran away. Not for fear of losing, but for fear of winning. Luna hasn't fought in years but is still able to kill the brainwashed people on her oil rig.
No Sense of Humor
Luna is serious. And peace is boring. The only time you'll see her smile is when she's around the children on her oil rig. She doesn't make jokes or laugh very often. She takes the role of leader very seriously. Even when she's the last of her people.

Powers/Abilities: Luna is a skilled fisher. She is able to make nets by hand. She's also a badass for a pacifist, taking down men much bigger than her. Trained from childhood, Luna can fight in hand-to-hand combat or with melee weapons. Luna fought in the conclave and claims she ran away because she would have won. It's very likely she would have, but we'll never know.
Character Fears: She fears having to kill again. Death and destruction. Dead bodies.
